I’m Marc Assens, I’m broadly interested in building things, products, companies and teams. Asides from tech I also enjoy other creative things like surfing or music.

I’m currently building Happy Scribe. We’re leveraging the world’s audio and solving speech-to-text, a fundamental narrow AI problem — Join us!

Timeline

• Itnig’s podcast about Happy Scribe.
• In 2020 I started giving 10% of my salary to Effective Altruism via Earn To Give thanks to Pau Vidal.
• Started Happy Scribe with André in 2017.
• My undergrad thesis was focused on adding a time dimension to visual saliency prediction. We presented it at ICME 2017 and won awards for “Best Visual Attention” and “Best Visual Attention Prediction in 360 Scenarios”.
• In the hardest semester of college I had the brilliant idea of doing a part-time internship at Ferran Adrià’s elBulliLab, that was intense!
• In high school I was awarded a Joves i Ciència scholarship and spent the following summers in EventLab and LIYSF doing a bit of science.
• Made some iOS games in my early teenage years.
